Membership

Membership is a great opportunity to come alongside us as our church seeks to follow what God has for us in our city.

A crowd of people seen from behind watches a band perform on a dark stage with large screens displaying lyrics under blue and pink lights.

Care and Correction

  • The role of those called into ministry is to care for the flock, or congregation. Church membership allows the staff who have been called by God to know the exact people God has placed into their care. (Acts 20:28)
  • We see in Scripture the command to serve one another. Church membership puts names to faces in order to serve one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
  • Over and over in Scripture, specifically Galatians and Ephesians, we see these "one anothers". People are Biblically called to serve and care for one another. Church membership guides the people of God to know who they are to serve and what that service looks like.
Shepherding & Submission

Shepherding & Submission

Members walk in humble partnership with the elders, submitting to their care and listening to the truth of Scripture as it’s taught and applied (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5).

Understanding Biblical Church Membership

There are vast quantities of people and organizations who would tell you what to do and how to live. But Biblically who are we to follow and submit too? Church membership is based on the Biblical principle of submitting to those who God has placed in authority over us for our sanctification.
